The TeRABIT Project at Trieste Next 2024, the Science and Innovation Festival that this year explored developments in knowledge and the boundaries between humans and technology.
At the OGS exhibition stand, visitors had the opportunity to engage in educational activities, scientific demonstrations, interactive games, and augmented reality tours, while also meeting scientists at the forefront of research.
On 29 September, TeRABIT's potential was showcased in a talk dedicated to the project, delivered by Stefano Salon, who highlighted how this infrastructure is transforming data access and usage in research.

The TeRABIT project also took centre stage in the initiatives organised for the European Researchers’ Night. OGS combined its activities at Trieste Next with those developed as part of the national SHARPER project, aiming to bring science closer to the public and highlight the importance of researchers’ work for society.
In this context, on 25 September, Stefano Salon engaged with lower secondary school students in a discussion on topics such as “Climate, ocean, robots, and supercomputers”, offering an insightful perspective on the challenges and opportunities of scientific research.
