With HPC bubbles, computing is at hand

Within the TeRABIT project, INFN aims to seamlessly integrate computing and storage resources and services across the national territory.

The technological objective is to make "HPC Bubbles" available within the project, providing interconnected HPC resources and services via cloud computing. It is anticipated that by 2025, at least 50% of all global data will be distributed and generated directly at the edge in three phases: creation, storage, and processing.

In the interview on GARR News, Davide Salomoni from INFN explores the most relevant aspects of the project and how it will integrate with other national and European initiatives.
